Thick Carpet Tiles
Carpet tiles with a total thickness of seven millimetres or more. Thickness measures the whole tile, pile and backing together, and it is the figure that affects underfoot comfort, how well a tile copes with a slightly uneven subfloor and how much impact noise it absorbs.
A thicker tile is not automatically more durable. Pile weight and construction matter more for wear, and a dense low pile will often outlast a thicker one in heavy traffic. Choose thickness for comfort and acoustics, and wear class for durability.
It is worth checking door clearances before ordering, particularly if you are laying over an existing hard floor.
